Hi my name is Victoria and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (RCC #22536). I’m so glad you have found yourself here at Our Place.

Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck. They often describe a sense of numbness or a flooding of energy, like they’re going through the motions of life but not fully engaged with it. I understand how these feelings can make it challenging to navigate daily life and deepen your connections with others and yourself.

In our work together, I focus on building a collaborative, relational space, Our Place, where you are treated as the expert of your own life. I believe that, as your counsellor, my role is not to tell you what to do, but to co-create a safe, supportive environment where we can work together to rewrite your story. By tapping into your strengths and resilience, we will explore how to process past experiences and move forward in ways that feel empowering and aligned with who you truly are.

I apply an attachment-focused and trauma-informed lens in our work, which means we’ll explore how early relational experiences may have shaped your emotional responses, patterns of connection, and self-perception in a pace that feels most comfortable for you. Our attachment systems are deeply influential in how we relate to others, and by understanding these dynamics, we can work to heal old wounds and create new ways of relating that feel safe and secure. This approach allows us to honor your need for connection and support while also empowering you to develop healthier, more fulfilling relationships moving forward.

Through this collaborative relationship, I will guide and support you in developing internal skills that help you regulate your emotions and navigate difficult feelings. My approach includes somatic-based, polyvagal, and trauma informed techniques, which allow us to address the body’s stored memories and emotions. This can be key to processing past trauma, shifting patterns, and achieving lasting transformation.

We will work together to actively rewire your nervous system, moving from a state of protection and survival mode to one of safety and connection. My hope is that, through our work, you will not only feel more equipped to manage overwhelming emotions but also build more fulfilling relationships and a deeper sense of inner peace.

If you’re ready to start this journey, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
